Long winter evenings in childhood, the library, the smell of books, crumbling old folios, including Fabre’s «Insect Life», books on zoology, botany, atlases and encyclopedias. These were my childhood favorites, I looked them up to the holes, and then I began to draw all these bugs, spiders, flies and other animals. Watching my children, I see the value of looking and staring. At the bottom of the plate, on the side of the cup, on everyday objects that they pick up many times a day, there should be images for contemplation. This is how taste is cultivated, and how horizons and interests are formed. Visual and semantic information through everyday objects. My children had it all. I would really like to give other «encyclopedic» families this opportunity.
